Cosmo Revealed...

So recently I went to a BYU baseball game. Always a good time... the sun was shining, the UVU competition was thrilling, and then there was Cosmo.  The mysterious mascot for BYU that can pretty much get away with anything in his mute state.  Cosmo at many different times and different sporting events has come up to me and sat on my lap, given me kisses on the cheek, and always gets a hug.  Now I think we sometimes forget there is actually a person underneath the suit... so my question is.. who is this mystery person or persons.  Is there only one person who gets to put on a suit, and have fair game at any lady he wants? Now Cosmo isn't that tall so do the ladies get to join in on the fun? And what a task to not speak for hours on end.. I would definitely slip, but I talk to much anyway.  Either way, Cosmo the Cougar has a pretty sweet set up... a beloved figure of BYU athletics, the ladies love him young and old.. perhaps more boys should look into the job as a college mascot.. just an idea. :)

Karaoke

To a girl who's childhood dream was to become a famous pop star, karaoke is the answer to my prayers.. well my hopes.. well my wish to be talented enough to actually go somewhere.. even if it is my living room with a mic stand we "borrowed" from the church.   Now there is something about singing as loud as you want into a microphone that gives even the most tone deaf person a thrill.  It definitely helps that the choices of songs are power ballads, and require you to give it your all.  So my question is...  Karaoke.. why don't we do it more often? why do people always say they hate it until they actually try it? And why is it so much fun for me, and so much pain for others.. and who wants to come sing with me? Here's to celebrity!!! 

My welcome to blogging...

As if facebook and myspace weren't enough I thought I would add yet another way for the stalkers of the internet to learn more about me!  If I dare flatter myself by assuming people will actually read this.. I think of it more as a record for myself.  I have no idea what kinds of venting and self reflection may come from this, or perhaps just ridiculous observations that only I would notice.  Either way if you read I hope I make you think, make you laugh, and perhaps inspire some kind of thought provoking discussion... I am a teacher ya know!
